Webzen is recreating 2006 MMORPG Soul of the Ultimate Nation, scheduled for a March re-release in Southeast Asia

Are you ready for a blast from Korea’s past? Webzen is planning to revive, recreate and re-release Soul of the Supreme Country as SUN Classicwith the current launch time in Southeast Asian territories around March.

For those unfamiliar, SUN for the first time to our part of the globe in 2009, operated for four years until it was shut down in July 2013. Webzen discussed plans to relaunch the MMO the furthest is 2019but only recently have these plans taken on a more solid form.

A press release from Webzen states that the new version will not only provide the main content of the original game, but will also add faster leveling up, system changes, tweaks and optimizations to the graphics and the game’s user interface. To create some hype for SUN’s back, Webzen has offers some original songs from its soundtrack, created by Lord of the Rings composer Howard Shore; we recall such a musical selection from the original SUN soundtrack in an article about Jukebox Heroes from 2016.

For the place SUN Classic going live, a March launch will see the game reach Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean players first, with plans to expand the service to Southeast Asia and other regions in due course. undefined later.
