Weather updates for NFL precinct knockouts: Packers vs. 49ers possible snow, temperatures below 0

Weather has played a major factor in several games this NFL season, most notably Bill‘December failed at the hands of Patriots, who relied on strong winds to upset their AFC East rivals. It can also affect the division knockout. For example, Green Bay is due to suffering from temperatures that can be below zero, as well as snowfall on match day, before Packers‘anticipated confrontation with 49ers.

As we review the entire action series by split, here is the updated weather forecast for each match, with information provided by Weather channel:

Location: Nissan Stadium (Nashville, Tennessee)
Game time forecast: It’s sunny, cloudy in the afternoon
Game time temperature: 49 degrees (high), 28 degrees (low)

Nothing too wild is being exploited in Tennessee, where the Bengals and Titans should enjoy a mild climate for a chance to advance to the AFC Championship. Daytime temperatures in the 20s are predicted to be in the teen years at the start and continue to decline as night progresses. Winds can make players feel like they’re in sub-zero temperatures. That could benefit the 49ers, who are particularly reliant on a first-run, ball-control strategy, but Matt LaFleur’s team has its own ground-based game weapons. Aaron Rodgers and Co. also quite used to playing cold football in important games.
