We now know who was behind the Supreme Court Justices Chamber’s abandoned ‘retirement’ announcement

That’s one of the mysteries of Justice Breyer’s ‘retirement’ failure: Who leaked the information before he was ready to go public?
That mystery was effectively solved, and it turned out that the leak came from a familiar culprit: White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain.
“PResidents’ chief of staff Joe Biden leaked Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s plan to retire into ‘a limited group’ on Wednesday, a top Democrat told reporters. ,” reported the Washington Examiner.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Richard Durbin told reporters he received a ‘surprise’ call Wednesday morning from White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, who ‘said that President Biden wanted to [Durbin] to learn that Stephen Breyer is about to announce his retirement from court,’ the Inquisitor continued.
Klain told Durbin to keep the news a secret Breyer had planned to make an official announcement, but it became clear that the word had somehow gotten out. Breyer is said to have been dismayed by the news. Shannon Bream initially reported that he was “sad,” but later revised that to say he was “surprised.”
Multiple sources have told me Justice Breyer has no intention of announcing his retirement today. They described him as “disgusted” with the way this had turned out. We are still waiting for any official announcement from his office and/or #SCOTUS public information office.

Breyer announced his retirement on Thursday, a day after Klain’s call to the senator’s office. Clock:
Justice Breyer goes on to refer to the country as a major “test” and refers to the Gettysburg address to declare that we are currently in the midst of a “great Civil War.”
“But I’ll tell you what Lincoln thought, what Washington thought, and what people still think today,” Breyer said. “It was an experiment. It was an experiment. That’s what they said. And Joanna paid each of our grandchildren a certain amount to memorize the Gettysburg address.”
“And the reason – the reason we want you to go get it there and what I want those students to get, if I can remember the first two lines are the scores four and seven years ago our father gave brings – created based on this here a new country,” he continued. “A country dedicated to freedom and the proposition that all men are equal. Born in freedom. Those were his words. And dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. He means woman. And now we are engaged in a great Civil War. To determine whether that country or any nation so conceived and devoted can be long-lived. See, those are the words I want to see. An experiment. ”
Some observers commented that Breyer was as sharp as Biden.

Can we compare the cognitive abilities of Biden and Breyer just on display? It doesn’t take any expert to know that Breyer remains a lively and attentive older man with a sharp mind while Biden falls into a state of amnesia and a markedly low mental state.

Biden sparked controversy after Breyer’s retirement by insisting that the next Supreme Court nominee was a ‘black woman.’
This isn’t the first time a White House offense can be traced back to Ron Klain. After the administration promised not to enact federal mandates, Klain essentially confessed the OSHA rule was “final work” with a retweet. Klain’s tweet was cited in a federal court ruling placing the duty to vaccinate major employers, which was recently upheld in the Supreme Court.
