“We just have to bring everything together,” said Charles Leclerc after a strong start to the French GP » FirstSportz with optimism

Charles Leclerc put in a pretty solid showing for the Ferrari Formula One team during Friday’s practice sessions and has indicated after FP1 AND FP2 that he is happy with what the package has produced at Paul Ricard so far.
Charles Leclerc finished FP1 on pole and secured P2 in FP2 where he missed pole by just a minute over teammate Carlos Sainz.
After his French outing, Leclerc said: “Yes, it was a good Friday. I mean, we have to do a little more work on the car tomorrow.”
Also, the Monegasque was a bit surprised at what Red Bull were up to during Friday’s training sessions, saying while talking about it: “It’s very difficult to understand because it feels like Red Bull are doing something different with us on Friday, but to focus on ourselves is a good feeling. So we just have to put everything together and the pace is in the car.”

Leclerc believes as long as Ferrari do what needs to be done they will be in a much better position compared to Red Bull for the race, plus the 24-year-old was extremely happy with the pace of his F1-75 at Paul Ricard.

Charles Leclerc: Max seems to be particularly fast on the high fuel today

During Friday practice Red Bull focused more on long runs than one-lap pace and Leclerc said when discussing his strategy: “Max seems to be extra fast with a lot of gas today, so I don’t know how much gas they’re running, that’s the question mark.“
“Let’s see tomorrow I think the pace is in the car, we just have to focus on ourselves and if we can do that the perfect weekend will be fighting for the win.
Temperatures are currently at an all-time high across Europe and after seeing sweltering conditions on Friday it’s believed temperatures will remain in the extreme range throughout the race and Leclerc, who got a taste of it in FP1 and FP2 said: “We have to be at the front this weekend, it will be a difficult race for us drivers but also for the car but I am confident that it will be good.”

The upcoming race will not be an easy weekend and now that track conditions are also becoming an important factor it will be immensely important for Leclerc and company to manage their race well, otherwise they could repeat what happened with Carlos Sainz in Austria is.
