“We don’t like it when players request trades” Adam Silver Makes Strong Comments on Kevin Durant » FirstSportz Amid Trade Fiasco

The situation around Kevin DuranIt’s been very stagnant since he requested (or requested) a trade from the Brooklyn Nets organization. It’s very hard to fault him for making an abrupt decision barely a year after signing a massive $194 million contract extension. This contract lasts until the 2025/26 season, but KD will not earn net.
Brooklyn team owner Joe Tsai has been working to find a suitable trading option but so far he has had no luck. Of course, it wouldn’t make sense for him to settle for less just to fire Durant since he has invested a lot of money in this player and would expect to get some kind of payback. The Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors have all shown interest, but neither team has the assets.

Kyrie Irving is blamed for the failure of the Brooklyn Nets super team
Much of the blame would have to go to Kyrie Irving, who barely lived up to his promise to the team last season. He only appeared for 29 games and played very inconsistently during the playoffs. This caused a lot of chaos between the players and the franchise, leading to the departure of James Harden. The team also happened to be the favorites to win the title.
Irving signed a $36.5 million one-year extension with the Nets for the upcoming season. And that signing might not have been what Kevin Durant wanted. Shortly after his teammate accepted the deal, he quit. It wouldn’t be wrong if KD wanted to extricate himself from an unreliable situation where he had to risk bearing the weight of his team alone.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver breaks silence on Kevin Durant calling for trades
The whole Kevin Durant fiasco has left the league in a very confused state. Unfortunately, with no real deal available or assets being moved from other teams, the situation is on an awkward pause. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver explained why the league isn’t too happy about it. He said, “I honestly don’t know if he asked for a trade or demanded one. It has to be a one-way street.”
“Teams offer players tremendous security and guarantees, and in return they are expected to fulfill their end of the bargain. I’m realistic that there will always be discussions between players and their representatives and the teams behind closed doors. But we don’t like it when players request trades and we don’t like seeing it the way it’s going.” He also stressed that it affects other players in the league. Silver claims that the authorities are trying to find a way to avoid such situations.
