Christian Hoerner, Red Bull team boss, has offered Sergio Perez a two-year contract extension, which the Mexican gladly accepted. After the Monaco Grand Prix, the driver was showered with all the praise from around the world for his fantastic win there. Checo is now just 15 points behind his teammate and is fighting very well for the championship and will continue to do so for years to come. “This year he has taken another step and the gap to World Champion Max has narrowed significantly, as evidenced by his excellent pole position in Jeddah earlier this year and his wonderful win in Monaco just last weekend.” said Red Bull boss.

Christian Horner praised Sergio Perez, calling him “a real force to be reckoned with”.
Christian Horner had no doubts about the Mexican’s extensions, firing out with plenty of praise for the driver after a fantastic ride he’s had all year. “Checo has done a fantastic job since joining Oracle Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen currently holds the top spot in the 2022 World Championship but with more races to come he could be threatened for the title by his own teammate.
