Do you know the sport called “slap fighting”? If not, we can assure you that you are not alone. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs couldn’t believe slap fighting was a real thing when he first saw it. He was horrified and intrigued at the same time, and the internet can’t get over his reaction after seeing his first-ever power slap contest with Dana White.

Diggs hits every note – disgusted and confused, but too morbidly intrigued to turn away. “This is some crazy shit,” he says. “They here are beating each other’s shit out.” We can’t stretch the fact enough that that’s the basic and natural reaction of anyone watching this bizarre competition for the first time.

Diggs comments in the video he posted to accompany his story that he no longer watches conventional TV, only Netflix, but he chose a nice evening to tune in. He happened to be watching the first episode of Dana White’s new reality series, Power Slap. An eight-part excursion into the crazy world of professional slapping where contestants not only compete for a position in the Power Slap House, but also for the coveted Power Slap Championship.

Even for a player like him, who practices one of the most dangerous sports and is at any given moment more prone to physical impairment than most other athletes, slapping seems pretty appalling. Just want you to know, Diggs, we’re all in the same boat.
