The Peacocks only have 2,600 undergraduates, so that group probably represents a nice section of students. They got everything they could have hoped for and more when Saint Peter’s went head-to-head with the Wildcats throughout the game. They were forced to work overtime then took the lead and held on to the epic victory.

Kentucky is an 18-point favorite over the 15th seed. It doesn’t matter to Daryl Banks III, who scored 27, or sharp goalscorer Doug Edert, who dropped 20 points off the bench. . Their performance far outstripped Wildcats star Oscar Tschiebwe, who finished with 30 points and 16 rebounds.

March Madness is all about the upside downs and stories of Cinderella. Saint Peter’s just had his first NCAA Tournament win in four tries. On Saturday, they’ll have another chance to thrill in Round 32.
