Watch NFL Betting Awards – Jonathan Taylor joins the conversation with MVP

With seven teams favored with at least nine points, Week 15 is expected to provide minimal drama and the chalk is expected to continue to be popular. However, the culmination of both the MVP and Super Bowl betting tables has rocked, setting up an attractive home ground compared to the regular season.

Value is out there but where?

Odds MVP

As my ESPN colleague Lee Corso would say, “not so fast, my friend.” brave cat He looked fine on his way to his fourth MVP award, but the Buccaneers lost to the favorites by 11.5 points and the quarterback laid another egg in the New Orleans defence. Going into the weekend, he was -140 favorites to win awards but now Aaron Rodgers (+150) overtakes Brady (+170) as the favorite with three games remaining.

This is the point where we have to accept voters rather than athletes? Will voters realize that Rodgers also struggled against New Orleans in the opener with just 133 passes, no touchdown and two interceptions? I do not belive that thing. Will the incumbent MVP lose votes because of voter fatigue, his Covid vaccine salad or his off-season contract antics? I believe some members of the media will be against him.

I can’t believe I’m about to write this next sentence… Now I think Jonathan Taylor worth playing with the score 10-1. Voters love to be different and many would feel like purists if they actively did not vote for a defender. Plus, voting for RB is an easy solution to the Brady-Rodgers dilemma. And let’s also point out that Taylor is very good and was the main reason Indianapolis got into the playoffs. So while I personally don’t believe he will win, I do believe there is a solid chance voters will support him. At 10-1, it was a play for me.

Pre-season betting love Patrick Mahomes (+900) is still in the mix but I doubt he has stats or narrative. Yes, Kansas City have won 8 games in a row and are now the top seed of the AFC but the defense has been recognized. Mahomes can still shine in these final three weeks but I would stay away at this price.

Aaron Rodgers +150
brave cat +170
Patrick Mahomes +900
Jonathan Taylor +1000
Matthew Stafford +1500
Josh Allen +2000
Justin Herbert +2500

Super Bowl Odds

So much for the demise of Kansas City, right? This winning streak has placed the Chiefs in the Super Bowl’s most beloved role since early October, which makes all the more sense when you consider the heated mess that is the AFC. Every team, including KC, has deep flaws and shortcomings. So by default and recent bias, the Team Leaders are the team of the conference to beat. As you join the impending carnage of the NFC knockouts for the top contenders, Patrick Mahomes there seems to be an easier path than others.

I’ve been touting the Packers with double digit odds for a couple of weeks, and now they have a clear path to NFC’s top seed. At +500, they are either overvalued or overvalued; There’s no value there anymore. As for Tampa Bay, it currently has attractive odds at +600 and brave cat most likely will not face the Saints defense in the knockout round. I need to better understand Brady’s weapon health before I pull the trigger. But make no mistake, the Saints are Brady’s kryptonite. Tampa was ready to defend her title, no matter what happened on Sunday night.

Do we trust the Rams (11-1) to win three games in the NFC knockout just to get to the post-season? Arizona’s loss to Detroit opened the door for LA to win the tournament, which would get a home game in the opening round. The Rams have talent on paper and 11-1 might just be enough for me to bite. It’s close but not quite.

With five wins in the last six, San Francisco (30-1) has caught my eye. It was a play for me. I recognize the limitations but I also think this team is pushing its limits. George Kittle makes a big difference. It’s important to remember that the Niners don’t have to beat every NFC competitor; they only need to win three games. I’m on board at 30-1.
