Three men face multiple felony charges after attempting an overnight armed robbery at a Gold Coast store.

Police allege the three men entered the store on Celestial Way in Coomera around 8:20pm on Saturday and one showed staff a firearm while demanding money.

The group are accused of damaging several items in the store before allegedly firing at one of the employees and fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

A short time later officers reportedly intercepted a vehicle matching the description on Yawalpah Way and took its three occupants into custody. A search of the vehicle reportedly found a replica firearm.

A 27-year-old Inala man and a 39-year-old Hillcrest man have been charged with a series of alleged offences. Both were denied bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

A 26-year-old Dinmore man is expected to be charged with multiple alleged offenses later in the morning.
