Watch: Jon Jones, Ciryl Gane and other fighters stare during UFC 285 press conference

It looks like 2023 may be a record year for the UFC, with killer fight cards coming one after the other. At the next pay-per-view event, not only will one of UFC’s biggest stars return, but also some up-and-coming contenders. The fighters squared off after the UFC 285 press conference.
Which Fighters Were Present at the UFC 285 Press Conference?
We need to start talking about the main map. Jon Jones has been teasing a move to heavyweight for some time. Fans wanted him to take on Francis Ngannou, but ‘The Predator’ left the company due to failed contract negotiations. But Ciryl Gane is a formidable fighter who rocks proper MMA fighting style.
Jones has had his fair share of criticism for Gane but the French seem unfazed. During the face-off there was no brawl like there was in the Daniel Cormier fight, although Jon pushed the belt away and closed in on his opponent.

Rising welterweight contender Shavkat “Nomad” Rakhmonov will fight Geoff “Hands of Steel” Neal in the rescheduled match. The Kazakh struggled to find opponents and his fight against Brian Barberena was not allowed to materialize. If he manages to get a win here, he should look at the high-level fighters next.

Another killer fight to watch out for is the Mateusz Gamrot vs Jalin Turner fight. Many have touted Gamrot as one of the next top lightweight contenders. The Pole was able to stop Arman Tsarukyan but was defeated by Beneil Dariush. Now he has another chance to testify against a very tall and intimidating Jalin.

And let’s not forget Bo Nickal’s debut. This fighter is getting hype on par with Khamzat Chimaev, and fans are expecting a show. The American was already firing his shots and managed to land a fight in the main map on his very first outing. His opponent Jamie Pickett is on a losing streak, but a win here could put him back on course.
