Watch: Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili chatted and discussed current weight

As a participant in a combat sport, UFC fighters don’t always get together unless they’re connected. Sometimes the mere presence of fighters they don’t like can lead to all out brawls. Bantamweights Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili recently got together for a casual chat.

What happened between Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili?

Merab Dvalishvili begins by saying, “Look at what good people here at UFC PI!” Sean O’Malley then asks the current champion, “What do you weigh?” The injured bantamweight champion responded with around 167.5 Lb. ‘Suga’ then did the same to Dvalishvili and the Georgian suggested around £155.

O’Malley was shocked but also added to the conversation: “155? My goodness. That’s where I am, yeah!” The champion then decided to chime in: “I don’t know how you guys can stay so skinny. I eat one and I’m at 170 (170 pounds).” At the end, Merab pointed to his colleagues and finally said, “He (Sean O’Malley) is skinny. He’s (Aljamain Sterling) strong.”

Aljamain was scheduled to fight former two-division champion Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo but was forced to withdraw due to injuries. The Olympic gold medalist is still adamant about his return but the opponent has yet to be announced. Aljo’s return date has also yet to be announced as the recovery period has not yet ended.

Sean had a controversial loss to Petr ‘No Mercy’ Yan and lost a lot of credibility with the fans. Now looking to clear his name, the Suga Show has expressed interest in fighting Henry Cejudo for the interim title belt.

On the other hand, Dvalishvili has stated on various occasions that he won’t be fighting for the title if his training partner Sterling is the champion. He is currently scheduled for a fight against Petr Yan on March 12th.
