Warner Bros. Discovery New Leadership in Japan, Australia and New Zealand

Warner Bros. Discovery announced its management team for Japan, Australia and New Zealand on Thursday, reporting to James Gibbons, President and Managing Director of WBD.

The reshuffle follows similar announcements for EMEA under Priya Dogra and India, Southeast Asia and Korea under Clement Schwebig.

  • Masami Takahashi is appointed Country Manager, Studio Manager, Japan, and based in Tokyo. He will continue to oversee all theater activities, local production, content licensing, games and consumer products.
  • Glenn Kyne is appointed Head of Networks, Japan and Australia & New Zealand. Based in Auckland, he will oversee all network activities across all three markets of pay TV, free-to-air and BVOD.
  • Based in Sydney Michael Brooks goes further than Managing Director of Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia [WBITVP], where, like WBITVP NZ, he will continue to report directly to the global WBITVP organization. Brooks is additionally appointed as Head of Studios, Australia & New Zealandresponsible for content licensing and optimizing studio-related activities in both markets, for which he will report to Gibbons.
  • Robi Stanton is appointed Head of Franchise Development & Affiliate RelationsAustralia and New Zealand, based in Sydney.
  • Andrew Brommel continue in the role of VP, Consumer Goods, Australia & New Zealand, based in Sydney.

In addition to the above dates David McDonald named VP Networks, Japan, based in Tokyo. He will continue to manage network activities and report to Glen Kyne while based in Singapore Lynn Ng will continue Content operations for the APAC region. In addition, she was appointed Head of Factual & Lifestyle – Southeast Asiafor which she will report to Schwebig.
