Warframe – How to Farm Cryptographic ALU

Cryptographic ALU is a special resource in Warframe. It is tied to a very specific item and mission and is used to craft the item Razorback Cipher. You need the Razorback Cipher to gain access to the mission to kill this Razorback during a Razorback Armada Invasion. This is also the only time this resource appears in-game. According to the game description, the resource is in the form of a large circuit.

The cryptographic ALU will only Dropped during Corpus Archwing missions, from slain enemies. These missions can be found on Jupiter and Neptune. For players new to the game, Galiliea on Jupiter is a good farm for this resource. This is a level 15-20 Sabotage mission that should drop between two and four ALUs. This is a fairly short mission, and you should be able to do it multiple times in fifteen minutes. You need four of these to craft with Razorback Cipher.

For stronger players, Salacia on Neptune is a good farm spot, dropping about a dozen ALUs per mission. Keep in mind that these will drop from dead enemies, so don’t run past groups just to get to the objective. Make sure you kill everything you can to have the best possible chance of the resource dropping.

Once you’ve collected at least four of the ALUs, you can build the Razorback Cipher in your Foundry. It takes one minute to build, and you must equip it on your Gear-Radial in the Arsenal to successfully access the Razorback kill mission. You need to kill at least three of the Razorbacks to get the event rewards, so you need to build three of the Ciphers.
