Former Manchester City captain Vincent Company has been appointed as Burnley’s new manager after they were relegated from the Premier League last season. Burnley fell to 18th in the Premier League table on the final day when they lost to Newcastle United.
Vincent Kompany will take the reins from Sean Dyche who spent almost 10 years at the club, helped them reach the Premier League and survived for almost 6 years. However, the manager was eventually sacked in April after Burnely’s dismal performances.

Vincent Kompany joined the likes of Gerrard, Arteta and others early in his managerial career
Vincent Kompany moves from Anderlecht to Burnely, where he started his career leadership career. The ex-Manchester City player opted for Turf Moor, who is likely to remain close to his family in north-west England, after also piqued interest from the Bundesliga club.
However, Kompany will not find it easy to lead a club like Burnley in England. Not enough credit is given to Sean Dyche, who has managed to keep Burnley in the Premier League despite a much smaller budget and often smaller squads.
Kompany’s goal this season would be promotion to the Premier League. Many have advised the former City player to take inspiration from Wayne Rooney, a former Manchester United player who runs a financially troubled Derby County.
Vincent Kompany spent nearly 11 seasons with Manchester City and became a legend at the club. He made 360 appearances for the club and scored some spectacular goals for them. The Belgian also won 4 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and 2 Community Shields during his time at Ethiad.
