All hell has broken loose and Vince McMahon has voluntarily made a shocking decision by stepping down as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of WWE pending the full investigation into him, a position he held for years. Well, that didn’t happen suddenly.

The $3 million scandal uncovered by the WSJ yesterday must have played a significant role in forcing the creator of this business to vacate his throne, which came as such a complete shock. As previously reported, the WWE Board of Directors constantly and ruthlessly investigated Vince over the multi-million dollar settlement he made with the paralegal in order to keep her mouth shut so he couldn’t say anything disparaging about McMahon.

After his father started Capitol Wrestling Promotion, Vince started working as a ringside announcer for his promotion in the 1970’s, a few years later in 1982 he bought the company from his father and it later became World Wrestling Federation ( WWF) renamed.

Since then, Vince McMahon has had rightful control of WWE as the owner and CEO of that entire organization. Vince McMahon was also involved in some of the biggest moments in WWE history, whether it’s feuding with Steve Austin during the Attitude era or his involvement in various storylines over the years, even a mile can’t be ruled out definitively.

McMahon was recently seen making his return to the ring at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals (Wrestlemania 38) in April against Pat McAfee.
