The Vikings are rapidly conducting a search for their general manager, and Eagles chief executive Catherine Raiche is one of the likely candidates to land the job.
We can see Minnesota Vikings end history this holiday season? Shortly after the team’s 2021 campaign ended, the Minnesota main office wasted little time firing both. head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman.
When it comes to GM, one catchy name has definitely popped up and that’s Catherine Raiche. According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Raiche is expected to interview with the Vikings in due course.
Catherine Raiche Could Make NFL History If Hired by Minnesota Vikings
Raiche currently serves as Philadelphia’s Vice President of Football Operations, a position she has held since last year. Raiche has experience in the XFL and CFL as noted by Garofolo, and she quickly made a name for herself in the NFL as well. In fact, the Vikings are getting ready to see if she’s ready to make the leap to GM.
In addition to Raiche, Minnesota is also planning to interview his Philadelphia colleague Brandon Brown, the Eagles’ Director of Player Human Resources. According to Tom PelisseroMinnesota also requested interviews with Patriots chief executive Eliot Wolf, along with Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Glenn Cook of the Cleveland Browns.
Clearly, the Vikings are ready to start working and making decisions sooner for their next GM. There are several options on the table for the front office to consider. Will they end up with Raiche? If she ends up doing her interview, then Minnesota will most likely head in that direction.
