Vikings’ Dalvin Cook scored twice, growing 153 yards into the first half against the Steelers

MINNEAPOLIS – In his first game back since dislocating his shoulder in San Francisco two weeks ago, Minnesota Vikings run again Dalvin Cook had the best first half of his career as he topped the 100 meter dash with a touchdown 29 yards over Pittsburgh Steelers.
He then added a seven-meter score as the “ground play” dominated.
With the Vikings just outside Pittsburgh’s red zone with 10:02 to play in the second quarter, Cook eliminated Kirk Cousin and ran 29 yards down the Minnesota touchline – untouched – into the back yard to give his team a 16-0 lead. The Vikings took a 23-0 lead after Cook’s second goal.
Five of Cook’s dashes go at least 15 yards, the most in a single game of his career and the most by any player in the first half of the past 20 seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Those were the most rushed shots in the first half against the Steelers at least since 2000.
Cook dashed 14 times for 153 yards in the first half, averaging 10.9 yards per take.
