Victoria Police were “stunned” after a Melbourne man mistook Trolley Bay for a car park

A man has left police “stunned” after mistaking a trolley bay for a car park in north-east Melbourne.
Police were called to reports of a car accident in a shopping center car park on McDonalds Rd, South Morang, on Tuesday morning.
When officers arrived, they were “stunned” to find a red Mitsubishi parked between a tree and a tram stop.

The driver, a 39-year-old man from Mulgrave, was given a breath test and reportedly returned a reading of 0.202, more than four times the legal limit.
The man told police he was coming home from a company Christmas party.
His driver’s license has been suspended for a year and he is expected to face drunk driving charges.
