Victor Lindelof advises Manchester United wonderkid for a ‘great future’

Manchester United Defender Victor Lindelof is tipping Anthony Elanga to build a ‘fantastic future’ for himself at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old was a surprise start to United’s 2-2 draw last Aston Villa on Saturday and he certainly took his chance, nearly scoring on two occasions and looking alive throughout.
Elanga has scored seven goals in eight appearances for Sweden Under-21s and he is pushing for a place in the national team, where he will play alongside Lindelof.
And the former Benfica player is keen for his compatriot to make his mark for club and country in the near future, with Lindelof hailing the winger as a ‘huge talent’.
“Of course, I talk to him a lot,” says Lindelof.
‘He’s a great talent and I’m very happy for him, more and more minutes at the club.
‘He’s a young player, a good talent, who comes here every day and really wants to improve his game. He works very, very hard and I am pleased with him.
‘If he continues to do the things he is doing at the moment, I think he has a great future ahead of him. It’s all about staying humble and continuing to work hard. ‘
Elanga’s presence at Villa Park was partly due to the absence of Marcus Rashford, who missed the game with an amputated leg.
The England international returned to training yesterday, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, who missed the game with a hip injury.
Both Rashford and Ronaldo are expected to return for their trip to Brentford on Wednesday.
