Two UFC welterweight contenders with high momentum on their sides will go head-to-head in the UFC Vegas 51 Main Event.

Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad will go head-to-head to make an impact and solidify as they are likely just a fight or two away from a shot at Kamaru Usman and the UFC Welterweight Championship.

This will be the second encounter between the two, with Luque defeating Muhammad at UFC 205 in November 2016. Both have won 10 out of 12 since they first met.

Luque comes into this fight at No. 5 on the UFC welterweight list. He is currently on a four-fight win streak and has earned post-fight bonuses in six of his last eight fights, including the last three.

His current streak is all finishes, with knockouts from Niko Price and Randy Brown and submissions from Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa.

Muhammad, ranked 6th, is undefeated in his last seven fights and will enter this fight with back-to-back wins to close out 2021, defeating Demian Maia and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson by decision.
