Vallejo police investigate 18-year-old fatal shooting – CBS San Francisco

VALLEJO (CBS SF) – Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old near Glen Cove Waterfront Park Thursday night.

Vallejo Police said officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the South Regatta Drive and Paddlewheel Drive areas around 11:07 p.m.

At the time of reporting, the 18-year-old male victim was being transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle. Officers responded to both the shooting scene and the hospital.

They began gathering evidence at the scene and discovered at the hospital that the victim was unable to bear her injuries. The motive and circumstances related to the shooting are still under investigation.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending further notification from the Solano County Coroner’s Office. This is Vallejo’s first murder of the year.
