Valheim offers another round of update previews while testing a performance improvement patch

They are often vague and sometimes sketchy: these are the development blog posts from Valheimand we have a new one from the game’s website This gives a few more glimpses of some of the upcoming Viking Survivalbox updates.

The post first begins by promising to work on fixing Xbox version issues and ongoing public testing a performance-enhancing patch This aims to fix various technical issues related to worldwide file size, network, storage and stability of backup files. A release date for this patch has not yet been set, but Iron Gate advises that if testing fails, the release of the patch will be delayed to allow for the release of the Hildir’s Quest update.

Speaking of Hildir’s Quest, the post confirms that the name of the update is a working title and is subject to change before ending with a preview image of a new campfire item. The blog then posts more previews of the evolving Ashlands update, which hints at some sort of altar-based ritual and confirms the existence of a Hellbuzzard enemy. The Ashlands update has been in development since January of this year, so it will likely be some time before a launch date for the new biome is announced. But hey, buzzards confirmed it.
