UMBC fully congratulates Saint Peter’s on Cinderella run

As Saint Peter’s continues the much-vaunted Cinderella event, a notable former Cinderella is approaching and congratulating the Peacocks.

Saint Peter’s Peacocks continues to make magic happen as March Madness continues for thrilling underdogs. After beating the Kentucky Wildcats and Murray State Racers, the Peacocks found a way to take out Purdue Boiling.

Now, with that win, a celebrity who made March Madness history is celebrating as the Peacocks were the first 15 seed to ever make it to the Elite Eight. A team that also recently stunned some by making history is certainly enjoying seeing the Peacocks thrive against the larger shows.

If you’re new to them for whatever reason, now’s a great time to meet up with UMBC Retrievers, a group that really loves seeing the disturbances happen in March.

Four years ago, the Retrievers, a 16th seed, knocked out the Virginia Cavaliers, a one seed. It was the first time the disappointment of a single seed by a 16 seed had occurred in an NCAA Tournament.

So there’s a lot of feeling that the Pursuits will be on the unlikely Peacocks and suddenly run to the Elite Eight.

With the Peacocks epic win over the boil, Saint Peter’s are now in uncharted territory for a team that has their seed for the NCAA Tournament. As Rodger Sherman’s Ringer pointed out, this is the first time that a team that finished below 12th place has come forward leading up to this point in March.

This is completely unbelievable and it is a win for the bottom team.
