Buckers are back in action after some pretty scary surgery.
There’s a lot of huge medical jargon going on in that tweet. Basically, it more or less means that Bueckers had surgery on her injured knee to repair some damage including broken bones and some injured connective tissue.
The surgery is not fun! The weeks (or months) of physical therapy and extremely painful recovery are not particularly enjoyable!
But it looks like the Buckers were able to undergo the surgery and recover fairly quickly. It’s unclear what she’ll be able to do or how great she’ll be back in the Huskies, but any return is better than no return (assuming Buecker is completely healthy).
The Bueckers will return Friday night when UConn hosts St. John’s. Buecker could return just before the Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament which should give her some time to get up to speed as UConn prepares to enter the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
