UCF shocks Georgia on stage walk in first upset of the season

The UCF Knights started the 2022 college softball season with a bang as they beat the Georgia Bulldogs in extra time for a nasty win.

Georgia Bulldogs’ First Game Without Lu Harris-Champer probably didn’t go the way they wanted.

While facing UCF Knights in preparation for the 2022 college softball season, the Bulldogs ultimately fell flat as UCF attempted an impressive 7-6 win in overtime at the CFX Classic in Orlando.

As the game ended at the end of the eighth inning, UCF sophomore Shannon Doherty hit a single shot home screaming over the left wall to secure the Knights victory over the Bulldogs.

And of course, her teammates reacted as well.

Doherty also very clearly has the art of flipping the bat. This is a pretty perfect implementation from the second year.

Make sure the shot actually gets the ball outside the stadium. Let it clearly still be fair as it soars. Start moving to the first base. Launch the bat towards the dugout.

Suppose, I think The season has just begun, the NCAA to be precise, this is the first breakdown of the 2022 college softball season. All things considered, there’s a pretty good chance it could turn out to be one of the biggest events of the year. . Georgia is a college with softball blood, and UCF found a way to earn some respect with this win.

Pretty much across the board with all the charts, the Bulldogs are ranked relatively high while UCF sits outside the leaderboards. Georgia was previously ranked at 20 here and UCF was not rated.

Depending on what happens the rest of the weekend, don’t be surprised to see the Knights rewarded with some respect early next week.
