Ubisoft is “working” on bringing Stadia players to PC via Ubisoft Connect

Ubisoft says it’s working to “bring the games you own on Stadia to PC.”

In a statement released over the weekend, Ubisoft said it didn’t have “specific details” about the proposal but would share them — along with more information for Ubisoft+ subscribers on Stadia — “at a later date.”

Eurogamer Newscast: Has Google Stadia always been doomed?

“As Stadia shuts down on January 18, 2023, we’re excited to announce that we’re working to bring the games you own on Stadia to PC via Ubisoft Connect,” Ubisoft tweeted.

“We will have more specific details to share at a later date as well as the impact for Ubisoft+ subscribers.”

some fanshowever, reject the proposal, saying they would rather have their Ubisoft+ subscription refunded than switch it to PC.

“And what about those who couldn’t afford a gaming PC and bought a Stadia as a solution?” asked a tweeter in the Comments. “Are these people going to be compensated for having their games taken away from them if they can’t access them on PC?”

“Stadia is not shutting down,” Google insisted when asked directly on Twitter if the shutdown was imminent as early as June. Just three months later, the struggling cloud gaming service announced that it would close on January 18, 2023 – news that even developers still working hard on Google Stadia projects weren’t expecting.
