Tyrese is reportedly set to pay his estranged wife $10,000 in child support payments, with fans dismissing his “crazy posts.”

tires and his estranged wife Samantha Lee have fallen out in court during their ongoing divorce proceedings. According to TMZ, the singer and Lee appeared in court on Aug. 29 for the first of two days of hearings, and the judge has come to a decision.

Tyrese is reportedly required to pay $10,000 a month in child support, including payments dating back to September 2020, when Lee filed for divorce.

The “Sweet Lady” crooner wanted joint physical and legal custody of his and Lee’s daughter Soraya and the final say in non-medical emergencies. He also hoped the judge would deny Lee’s request for $20,000 a month in alimony and a motion regarding the couple’s Range Rover.

The couple married in February 2017 and had their daughter in October 2018, but in late 2020, the two publicly announced their split. Tyrese also has a teenage daughter, Shayla, from a previous marriage. In an Instagram post shared ahead of his court appearance, the ‘Fast & the Furious’ actor said he’s going through some extremely difficult times in his life. “I’m about to step into something that has taken me to the darkest place… A place I haven’t been able to shake in almost 2 years.” He went on to ask “prayer warriors” to be generous in writing down prayers that he cover “mentally, emotionally, spiritually and psychologically”.

Online, fans have sided with the former model and his requests, with many citing that “nothing he’s asking is unreasonable.” However, where things get murky for him when it comes to garnering sympathy is the fact that fans are already anticipating an emotional outburst. The Capricorn singer has proven in the past that social media serves as a kind of open diary for him.
