Aaron Rodgers is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the world of NFL. It was obvious the Packers will try to get him to stay with them, but the NFL world was shocked when they made a massive deal for the four-time league MVP winner.

While some think the Packers were right to back Rodgers, others believe going all-in for him was a bold move. Anyhow, it was obvious that the Packers would have to cut their other expenses as they’ve spent heavily to keep their favorite QB.

Packers wide receiver Davante Adams had previously informed the Green Bay Packers that he will not play under the franchise tag next season, and according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Las Vegas Raiders are now ready to release Adams from the to take over Green Bay Packers.

In return, the Raiders would have to give up their first- and second-round picks for 2022. Additionally, Davante was reportedly offered a five-year, $141.25 million contract by the Raiders. Adams is expected to average $28.25 million per year, eventually making him the new highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.

This apparently didn’t sit well with Packers fans, who blamed Rodgers for what happened to Davante.

Davante’s absence will definitely hurt the Packers in the upcoming season. Additionally, having signed a huge deal that played a big part in Davante’s eventual trade, Aaron Rodgers would now have extra pressure on his shoulders to deliver.
