Viewers of the 2022 Oscars were left speechless as a moment on the show left fans wondering if it was real.
During Chris Rock’s presentation of the winner for Best Documentary, he joked about Jada Pinkett-Smith starring in “GI Jane 2” due to her shaving her head. Pinkett-Smith has spoken out about her hair loss problem.
In retaliation, Will Smith, her husband, left his seat and walked on stage and hit Rock, then said “Get my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth”, all of that. censored on American television.

Why did Will Smith slap Chris Rock at the Oscars?
As mentioned above, Pinkett-Smith has a condition called Alopecia that causes hair loss. She spoke at length about it recently.

“Willow made me do it because it was time to let go,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post revealing her shaved head. “BUT…my 50 year old would love to be spiritually lit with this barn.”
It seems that slap was, in fact, not a bit. At the time of the commercial, Smith is spotted wiping her tears and being comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry.
Smith was awarded the Best Academy Award for her portrayal of Venus and Serena Williams’ father in King Richard.
