In an effort to protect jurors, staff, and parties in legal cases, superior courts in Riverside and San Bernardino counties on Wednesday, January 5, suspended all civil court hearings. Criminal and criminal proceedings have not been conducted due to the sudden increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.
In addition, access to Riverside County hearings is restricted during that time to the plaintiff, respondent, jury, a person accompanying a person seeking a temporary restraining order, and anyone authorized authorized judge.
Sound of hearings streamed live on the court’s website. Attendees must be six feet apart, according to an order written by Presiding Judge John M. Monterosso.
Updates on trial status and restrictions are available on the court’s website.
