“Treason”: Rubio sparks Biden’s oil negotiations with this socialist nation

Jen Psaki, during a March 7 press conference, was asked about the Biden Administration’s negotiations with Venezuela, with a reporter asking:

This weekend, there was a US team that spoke to the Maduro regime. Sanctions have been in place since 2019, lacking diplomatic engagement since for election fraud, for all that that regime has done to the Venezuelan people.

And I hear you say we’re doing everything we can to lower the price of gas, but is it really worth doing business with an autocrat like Nicolás Maduro to lower the price of gas?

Psaki confirmed that report in his reply, stating that negotiations are ongoing between the two regimes:

First, I think it’s a leap ahead of some stage in any process. Members of the administration have had a discussion over the past few days. Those discussions are also ongoing. And part of our focus is also on the health and well-being of US citizens in custody – while a separate process, remains part of our commitment to them.

So at this point, I don’t have anything to predict. It is happening. I just don’t have anything to convey at this point.

Senator Marco posted on Twitter, bashing the Biden Team’s alleged plan to buy oil from autocratic socialists in Venezuela by saying:

# Venezuela’s oil industry is in trouble

Due to marxist incompetence and corruption, it will take years before they can produce enough to come close to replacing #PutinOil

Biden is just using this as an excuse to sever the deal with #Maduro that he’s always wanted.

Furthermore, attacking the negotiations as a boost to the Maduro regime and describing them as a betrayal of freedom-loving Venezuelans, Rubio said:

Administrator Biden’s secret meeting with #Maduro is a big PR boost for #MaduroRegime

And a horrible betrayal by those who risked everything against Maduro and weren’t even informed this had happened.

And for what? The amount of oil #Venezuela can produce right now is negligible

Then he said:

Biden’s people tell #Maduro they will lift sanctions if he sells us some oil and announce a future date for talks with the opposition

#Venezuela doesn’t produce enough oil to make a difference

And Maduro has repeatedly used negotiations to buy time & divide the opposition

He added to that later in the day, saying:

Here it is, as I told you earlier, the White House has offered to give up freedom seekers from #Venezuela in exchange for a negligible amount of oil and this announcement below from the drug dictator # Maduro

He then tasked the administration with the idea of importing oil from the Maduro regime again, saying:

#Venezuela produces less than 1% of the world’s oil because it is mismanaged by corrupt & incompetent criminals

An oil deal with #Maduro would have negligible impact on our gas prices

But it will give #MaduroRegime millions of dollars for them to steal

Rubio is right; The Biden plan is absurd, and if it buys oil from Venezuela and funds the tyrannical Maduro regime, it will be a betrayal to all who have resisted the socialist dictator. America should produce its own oil, not fund the enemy regime by buying oil.
