Traffic delays on the Centenary Motorway caused by a ‘severe’ accident in west Brisbane

A ‘serious’ accident causes heavy traffic in western Brisbane.

A motorcycle is believed to have collided with a truck during Tuesday’s rush hour in Toowong on the Centenary Motorway.

A person is treated by paramedics.

The accident paralyzed traffic on the main artery, with traffic affecting suburbs closer to the city, including Milton.

“The Centenary Motorway is closed westbound near Waverley Road due to a serious traffic accident,” Queensland Police said on Twitter.

“Drivers are advised to seek an alternative route or expect delays.”

During the patient’s treatment, only one exit lane of the highway was open.
