Traffic chaos as NSW Police determine a crime scene on the Hume Motorway

NSW Police set up a crime scene on a Sydney motorway which caused significant traffic delays.

Hume Motorway in Campbelltown was closed Wednesday afternoon after an accident, police said.

“Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command will remain on site and conduct inquiries,” NSW Police said.

While the freeway has reopened northbound at Campbelltown, the northbound ramps from Narellan Rd remain closed.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area.

For those already traveling northbound on the freeway, traffic will be diverted at Narellan Road and drivers may use Camden Valley Way, Oxley Street or Campbelltown Road instead.
