Tractor driver killed in rage shooting on Maryland road, police say – CBS Baltimore

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) – A trailer driver has died after he was shot Saturday during a rampage on 50th Street in College Park, Maryland State Police said.
Soldiers responded at about 5:45 p.m. to a shooting on 50th Street east at Veterans Parkway. Investigators believe the truck driver engaged in a verbal argument with another driver while the two were driving on 50th Street.

Investigators believe that during the argument, the driver of the second vehicle pulled out a gun and fired at the truck, injuring the truck driver. Police said the gunman continued to walk east.
The tractor driver was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as Delonte Hicks, 29, of Washington, DC

Investigators believe Hicks and the gunman did not know each other. The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, is believed to have been driving a dark sedan.
No other injuries have been reported. 50th Street was closed for several hours after the shooting.
