There is no shortage of lawyers about List of the top 100 courses in the world by GOLF – in fact, it’s almost all the common people. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t bright or boisterous faces. This time, seven newcomers cut back, and in the coming days will introduce (or re-introduce!) you to each of them. Here’s a closer look at 74th place in the 2021-22 standings: Ardfin on the Isle of Jura in Scotland.
Number 74: Ardfin
Jura Island, Scotland
Bob Harrison (2017)
The experience at Ardfin is different. Jura Island can be reached by boat, either from the adjacent Isle of Islay or from mainland Scotland. At Ardfin Estate, seclusion and tranquility are guaranteed with a stage for golfers to enjoy time in the wilds of nature.
Australian architect Bob Harrison’s design poses little risk of man-made damage, but he caught golfers’ attention early, with a 205-yard second tee that needs to be carried. a cliff 100 feet high.
The thrill ride continues, with holes 8 through 11 hugging the cliff line. Harrison mixes questions with a variety of green complexes. Most are open to the front to catch the wind, some greens fall off the player, some have knobs that are particularly difficult to hold and the small putter surface at 9 protects the par at a drivable 295 yard par. Okay.
The accommodations are luxurious and for those who want to unplug, the Ardfin is ideal.
