Top 10 Power Dunks of the 2021-22 NBA Season

The NBA regular season has come and gone, but one important question remains: What are the top 10 power dunks of the 2021-22 season?
The NBA 75th Anniversary regular season began on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 and ended on Sunday, April 10, 2022. The season comprised 1,230 regular season games over those six months. According to the Basketball Reference, 11,111 dunks were recorded. (This number may look made up, but feel free to double-check.)
Not every one of those dunks was a power dunk, but these are the top 10 power dunks of the 2021-22 NBA regular season
10. Alex Caruso – November 27, 2021
It’s the 30th anniversary of the legendary basketball film White Men Can’t Jump, which is very fitting as our first dunk here is Alex Caruso.
It’s late November in Chicago, the Saturday after Black Friday and Thanksgiving.
Caruso drops a bounce pass into the post for Nikola Vucevic, then cuts the alley and slides right past Bam Adebayo. Vooch returns the favor by throwing in a bounce pass to the slicing Caruso, who receives the pass and mounts on PJ Tucker. Caruso sends it home right on Tucker, catching the rim in the process for a glorious rim rattle that adds extra emphasis, as does the foul call. Caruso bends a little and performs his signature headband celebration. The local audience is very happy about a lot of headtapping.
Bulls play-by-play man Jason Benetti’s call is great: ‘Oh god, gracious! Don’t do it to the brim!”
And the always hilarious Stacey King adds: “PJ TUCKER. Get up or get out of the way! COURT!!”
When played back, the sound of attacking the edge is even more glorious. And the dunk was so violent that the Chicago crowd shouted “MVP!” as Caruso stepped to the free-throw line.
