Tom Brady Doesn’t Want To Talk About His Future After Playoff Loss – CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) – Is this for Tom Brady? The future Hall of Fame quarterback did not say.

Brady’s 22nd NFL season ended Sunday afternoon when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a 30-27 defeat to the LA Rams in the Split. Brady and the Bucs took a 27-3 lead in the middle of the third quarter, but came back amazingly to tie the game 27-27 with 42 seconds left. The comeback flew out the window as the Tampa Bay defense somehow lost Cooper Kupp to a 44-yard catch and run that sent the Rams down the Tampa Bay 12-yard line. Los Angeles kicked off a goal of winning the game as time expired and ended the season for Brady and the Buccaneers.

Stories about Brady potentially retiring after the season kicked off surfaced last week and were back in the reporting round on Sunday morning. As for what Brady has to say about his future, the seven-time Super Bowl champion isn’t interested in discussing his plans after Tampa’s post-season loss. That discussion will come another time.

“I haven’t given it much thought, so we’re going to look at it day by day and see where we are,” Brady said. “I was thinking about winning. That’s my mentality, to always go out and try to win, giving my team the best chance to win. ”

Again pressed about his future, Brady really didn’t want to get involved.

“Honestly, I’m thinking about this game. I don’t think about five minutes from now,” he said.

Of course, he’s a bit more open to discussion on his social media accounts. A tweet by TB12 Sports after Sunday’s game promised that “greater things are coming,” so it looks like Brady will be back for at least one more season in 2022. Brady has long said he wants to play until the end of the season at the age of 45, which will be 2022. He added that he will play until he smokes and he certainly hasn’t, leading the NFL with 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns will pass in 2021. He is also scheduled to earn $25.4 million next season.
