The Miami Heat look to keep their lead in the Eastern Conference tonight as they take on a struggling Wizards team in Washington.
Kyle Kuzma BELOW 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
Kuzma proved a useful tool on the glass for a small Wizards team averaging 8.8 rebounds per game for Washington.
However, he has slowly fallen from that pace in recent weeks and has a very tough game against the Heat tonight to deal with. Miami is second in the NBA in total opponent rebounds per game at 49.9. The Heat is second in total surrender defense bounces and fifth in terms of offensive glass.
While Kuzma is the best healer in the Wizards, he’s not a great healer in the grand scheme of things. As mentioned above, he is also falling to his own pace and his total recovery so far in February is 3.1 less than this per game in January. .
Duncan Robinson OVER 14.5 points (-120)
Robinson is going to be a strong play tonight if Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler can’t keep up. Herro said this morning he wasn’t expecting to play Monday night. Butler has a shot but won’t hit 100%. If Butler is absent, Robinson will become a suitable scoring option for the Heat in the back line alongside Kyle Lowry. While his numbers aren’t all that impressive overall, especially after a three-point match, the Heat don’t have very many other options. And his stats weren’t due to poor play, but rather because he was the third scoring option in the late game. When there’s a chance to dribble, he can. He’s had multiple games this season scoring at least 25 points and most recently, he beat Spurs by 17 last Thursday. Watch Butler’s condition lead to speculation and break this if he is disqualified.
Duncan Robinson OVER 1.5 assists (+105)
While Robinson is the defender, his total assists leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, he’s averaging 1.5 dimes per game, matching tonight’s total. However, as is the case with his totals, he will need to raise a little more than usual when Herro comes on. He’s also shared the ball more recently and is averaging 3 assists per game so far this month. He’s surpassed this total for three straight games and I think it would be good with these odds to do it again.
