We’re on a solid footing in the NBA’s Best Betting, with 13-3-1 on our picks from March.
Process? It has partly revolved around targeting Tyrese Haliburton, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and others in the player props arena, and we’ll get back to that tonight.
Not only are we going after Haliburton, but I have two distinct options, as the Chicago Bulls have played terribly against teams above their level this season.
Let’s get into today’s picks:
Find Peter Dewey’s entire NBA betting record this season this.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Atlanta Hawks: Grizzlies -5 (-110)
The Memphis Grizzlies have won four games in a row. Friday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.
John Collins is not on the Hawks indefinitely, which severely limits the team’s ceiling until his return. Memphis has a chance to lock down the Western No. 2 seed when Steph Curry comes out for the Golden State Warriors, and is expected to have Ja Morant on the roster despite a sore back.
The Hawks couldn’t make up for the loss and I don’t think that’s going to change compared to a tough Grizzlies team on Friday night. Memphis comes into this matchup 11-5 as a top laner.
15 of the Grizzlies’ last 16 wins have had more than five points, and Memphis’ foul will come against the Hawks, who are 27th in the NBA defensively this season.
That will be a big deal, as the Grizzlies are fifth in offensive ratings and seventh in defensive ratings this season. I’m surprised this is so low for a healthy Morant, especially since the Hawks have such a short playstyle.
Chicago Bulls vs Phoenix Suns: Suns -5 (-110)
If there’s one trend to follow in this game, it’s tarnishing the Bulls when they play against good teams. Chicago is only 2-16 when they play against a team with a better record this season.
Phoenix is the superior team in this match, especially at home, where it is 29-8 this season. While the Suns are just 17-20 compared to the spread in those games, I don’t trust this Chicago defense without Lonzo Ball.
The Bulls are currently 20th in the NBA in defensive ratings, a huge drop from their strong start to the 2021-22 season.
The Suns, even without Paul, are the No 3 attack and No 2 defence in the NBA, and they still have the star power needed to compete with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, as Devin Booker scored 22 plus points. in 11 consecutive games. .
I finished supporting this Bulls team when they faced a tough opponent.
Tyrese Haliburton OVER 17.5 points (-105)
I’m buying low on one of my favorite player props, Tyrese Haliburton’s points, after he scored just four points in a 2/10 shootout in a big loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Haliburton has been really solid since being traded to the Indiana Pacers, with more than 17.5 points in nine of his 13 games. What was more important to me was that Haliburton had plenty of chances, averaging 18.5 points on 13.2 shots per game, including 6.2 trebles per game.
Besides, Houston Rockets are the NBA’s worst defenseand they’ve allowed 113 plus points in five games in a row, and they haven’t allowed less than 112 in a game since Feb. 27.
