We had an NBA leaderboard loaded on Sunday and have a pair of Western Conference matches that will be great games tonight.
I had an pick in both of those games, as well as a support for Tyrese Haliburton in The match between the Boston Celtics-Indiana Pacers.
Let’s break down today’s picks:
Find Peter Dewey’s entire NBA betting record this season this.
Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns: Suns Moneyline (+115)
The Suns may have lost to Paul and Cameron Payne, but I’m still shocked to see the oddsmakers move them to weaker teams at home against Utah.
Phoenix’s loss to the Pelicans was their second night of head-to-head, and I’ll get past the Suns for a nasty win tonight.
This season, The Suns took an 8-2 lead after a loss, the best record in the NBA. Also, we got Suns as a house dog for the first time this season. Phoenix is only 15-17 so far this season, but it has an average winning margin of 8.5 points in those games. The Suns are tied for the NBA’s best-ever home straight rise record with a score of 26-6.
Utah may be playing well, but there’s no way I’d place a point with the Jazz on the road, especially since they’ve been average as a road buff this season (11-10 ATS).
This is as big as a low buy point on the Sun since we can get all seasons.
Tyrese Haliburton OVER 16.5 points (-105)
Tyrese Haliburton missed this line in his final game, but I think he’ll be back when the Indiana Pacers take on the Boston Celtics. Boston is 2nd in the NBA in defensive rating, but it’s the second game head-to-head, where they’ve taken the lead 8/11 games this season.
This could be a sublime match, as the Pacers are 27th in the league in terms of defense, and I think Haliburton has the edge. Haliburton has cleared this line in his first four games with the Pacers, so I’ll give him a discount to get back on track in this game.
Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors: Warriors -3.5 (-110)
The Warriors with 17-13-2 are rated as the favorite home team this season and have an average win gap of 11.8 points in those games. They have also won 26 of their 32 home games this season.
Both of these defenses are top of the line in the NBA, but Curry and Doncic can control the game on their own when they start.
The Warriors didn’t expend much energy in their big win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, and now they’re entering this game fresh after a two-day break. The Warriors are 7-2-2 ATS this season with two or more days off and I think that works in their favor against the Mavs who had to play a tough game against the Utah Jazz on Friday.
Klay Thompson is doubtful in this game, but I’m still optimistic about the Warriors, especially if he’s fit, as they beat the Mavericks 38 times the last time these two teams played.
