Tyler Reddick wins Indy Cup races

Tyler Reddick kissed the stones on Indy as he secured his second career win and second road course win at the legendary circuit. The soon 23X1 race driver drove his No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevy Camaro ZL1 on to winning ways in a dominant manner, leading most of the race static and helped by the intense battle that has been going on behind him in recent restarts.

On the final restart of the 82-lap race on lap 78, the race was extended to an overtime restart Eric Jones and Reddick RCR teammate Austin Dillon disappeared at Turn 4 after the crazy restart that saw the riders overshoot by five at Turn 1. Despite Ross Chastain making a cheeky shot at Turn 1 to pass Reddick for the lead, he was able to bounce back with ease and secure his second win of 2022.

A physically exhausted one AJ Allmendinger couldn’t run over Reddick in the end result Ryan Blaneyone of the winless riders of 2022 who holds the playoff spot was spurned from behind and most of his co-leaders in the last restart were unable to get forward as the intense battle and traffic proved too much for them all which helped some runners in midfield get up front and Reddick get in front.

The top 5 at the finish differed significantly from the restart as a rookie Austin Cinderic took P2 after that Ross Chastain was dismounted, Harrison Burton got P3, his highest result in a cup race, and Bubba Wallacewho again showed a strong performance, landed on P5 death Gilland in P4.
