Draymond Green is not one to whisper praise or hate as he praised the NBA commissioner. The much-anticipated clash between the champions of the East and the West finally began on June 2 when the Boston Celtics stormed the Warriors in the 4th quarter and earned a comfortable victory on foreign soil. Al Horford led an electrifying comeback in the fourth quarter as the Boston Celtics stunned the Golden State Warriors 120-108 and drew first blood in their best-of-seven NBA Finals series on Thursday, something Draymond wasn’t proud of.
Draymond was vocal off the court, not on it, as Boston stunned the Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors were undefeatable on their home ground during the 2022 NBA Playoffs, and for three quarters they looked like they would dominate Game 1 of their NBA Finals series against the Boston Celtics. However, over the course of the final 12 minutes, things fell apart horribly as the visitors entered the Chase Center and outplayed the Warriors 40-16 in the fourth quarter to walk away with a 120-108 win.
The charms for both teams shone brightly as Stephen Curry led all scorers with 34 points, while Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for 44 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. In the end, that wasn’t enough to surpass the performance of Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Derrick White as the road team was able to claim home field advantage in Game 1.

“He’s one of the best CEOs in the world” Draymond Green praises the NBA Commissioner
Ahead of the start of the 2022 NBA Finals, Commissioner Adam Silver hosted a broad press conference to address a number of hot topics about the league and its future. Apparently, his answers earned him even more support from one of the NBA’s most outspoken players: Draymond Green. Draymond clearly liked the play-in tournament that Adam Silver added, and it seems like he’s a fan of Adam Silver in general. Here’s what he tweeted –
Adam Silver spearheaded a great era in basketball, and the game has grown into a truly global sport. The Golden State star expressed how impressed he was with Silver after his press conference on Thursday. He hailed the NBA’s top figure not only as one of the best commissioners in the sport, but as one of the best CEOs in the world at all top organizations.
Silver brushed aside numerous NBA-related topics ahead of Game 1 of the Finals, which the Celtics won 120-108 against Green’s Warriors. He revealed the league was considering changing the All-NBA voting process and said he was “confident” the league would change its official policy regarding the “transitional foul.” The CEO also waded in the waters of league expansion talks amid rumors that the NBA might be exploring adding new franchises.
The NBA has expanded its reach from the North American continent to the rest of the world. Green isn’t exactly the type of person you would call a teacher’s pet, but Adam Silver’s commendable work needed to draw honest praise from the warriors forward, and it has. There’s a lot to like about modern basketball, and we’ll have to wait and see what other additions to the league Adam Silver will implement himself in the future, with the help of Draymond Green.
