Tina Knowles-Lawson appears to be reacting to the flak Beyoncé received for her album Renaissance

Tina Knowles Lawson has proven over the years that she will always stand by her beyonce‘s side, even if the singer is negatively received by the public.

Following the release of Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, titled Renaissance, in July, the 40-year-old drew criticism for sampling one of Kelis’s songs after the singer called her on Instagram Live. Media reported that Beyoncé’s track “Energy” contained ad-libs from Kelis’ 2003 hit “Milkshake.”

Shortly after the backlash, Beyoncé found herself in another controversy after asking to change the lyrics to her song “Heated.” The track previously featured the word “spazz”, considered by some to be the most skillful and offensive language.

On Aug. 8, Knowles-Lawson took to Instagram to praise her daughter for the latest achievements she’s received for “Renaissance,” including topping the Billboard 200 album chart.

While sharing a video and pictures from Beyoncé’s album release party, she wrote, “I’ve watched over two years of all the constant hard work, the sacrifice at times of time with her family, the late night sessions, the work while ill, the weekends and then raising three kids, time away from a very supportive husband, blood sweat and tears, I say Beyonce works harder than anyone I know and deserves and deserves everything she gets!”

She concluded the lengthy post by describing Beyoncé as “loyal and kind,” despite everything that was thrown at her.

The 68-year-old said: “You get absolutely nothing for free. She minds her own business and does not speak badly of anyone, never puts anyone down, is always loyal and kind. Minds her business, doesn’t mess with anyone. So I’m proud of you!!!! Kudos, baby, enjoy the rewards you’ve earned and more!”

As Knowles-Lawson’s post began making its rounds on social media blogs, many assumed the Talks with Mama Tina host was reacting to the negative press surrounding Beyoncé’s latest project. A few people even mentioned Kelis’s name.

“I guess she sees the celebs attack B and it’s really sad how the celebs attack her when she’s just trying to help, but Beyoncé doesn’t care because she’s happy and her family and she got rich .”

“Classy clapbacks are the best, oh and heyyy Kelis, she’s talking to you.”

“Sounds like it’s more about targeting Kelis than anything other than angering Tina.”
