You’d think Ken Buck would be tired of hearing the echo chamber between his ears, but that’s not to be.
I thought his vote to confirm Joe Biden’s legal election on January 6, 2021 was a sign that he might be moving to a slightly more dovish stance, but that was wishful thinking on my part. I should have realized that when he didn’t say shoot them all and let God sort them out when referring to Trump’s violent mob.
Ken Buck disappointed some voters when he tweeted that he didn’t vote to convene the committee on Jan. 6 because he was partisan. He should have voluntarily stood on that podium, but then he may have to admit the truth about the uprising, and that may cost him fees.
Currently, its echo chamber reflects a clear lack of science. Ken Buck mistakenly remarked that all the world’s medical knowledge was wrong as to the severity of COVID-19 because a 78-year-old man, specifically President Joe Biden, has not died after contracting the disease.
Shall we be content that Ken Buck represents our little dot on the planet but hasn’t figured out that masking, distance and, oh yes, vaccinations help us survive the disease? This includes 78-year-old people.
He’s actually upset that this pandemic isn’t taking the older, senior citizens to old Pickle Ball place in heaven?
I’m sure all of the senior Weld County voters who voted for him last time will be so glad to hear that he cares about their well-being by wanting preventive medical treatments not to work for them. Maybe he’s just being partial by wishing that only for President Biden.
Compassion is clearly not in his echo chamber. I really think that if one of us is injured and stranded on the side of the road, we should hope that a Joe Neguse drives by and not a Ken Buck.
Time to buck buck! We deserve better.
