There was a morning low of just 22 degrees but the city managed to see 47 degrees on Tuesday afternoon.
That’s 13 degrees below normal.
Overnight, a warm front will begin to form and this should cause clouds to rise early Wednesday.
There is a small chance that some very light winter rain could form in the hours before things warm up and the clouds clear, especially in far western Maryland.
By Wednesday afternoon, the weather should be warm again in the mid-50s.
There is an early morning winter weather announcement for the Washington County area.

But a much warmer day will arrive on Thursday, which will be most present during the low to mid-70s.
Then everyone will need to prepare for a change in weather.
A cold snap will arrive in the evening and this is likely to start with showers and a few strong thunderstorms sometime in the late afternoon or evening.
The Baltimore area is in a mild risk zone for these storms with a slight risk in the far west.
As the front moves through, purifying and windy conditions will follow on Friday along with cooler temperatures.
Due to the risk of these storms, the WJZ has designated Thursday as a warning day, so keep an eye on the weather.
