Throne & Liberty features around an hour of gameplay footage on G-Star
NCsoft was back in show-and-tell mode at this year’s G-Star event as the studio took the stage Present about an hour of gameplay from his long-running MMORPG Throne and freedomwhich is obviously a bigger demonstration than the two minute film he previously shared.
The demonstration began with a look at a solo character taking on a boss in the Taedal’s Tower instance, showing active combat and some seemingly timed attack and defense maneuvers. It then featured a six-person group-based game of dungeon, and ultimately ended with a large crowd of players facing off against a single boss.
The developers are on the way highlighted Features such as an updated user interface, a smoother control scheme that utilizes the Q, E and R keys, and the ability for players to customize their character with 12 active and eight passive skills. The developers also talked about removing loot boxes and ending auto-hunting.
Player reaction on Reddit Things look a bit mixed, with some fans pointing out that there didn’t appear to be anything new presented and others show great interest and enthusiasm about the changes.
T&L hits Korean players next month, while Western players will have to wait until next year when Amazon plans to release the MMO.
