This trend suggests that Indiana is fading in the Second Half against Rutgers

Mike Woodson preached Learn how to win and finish matches for the whole season during his first year in Indiana. Some times messages were received, while other times great leads were lost; never be refunded.

His Indiana Hoosiers are still in bubble chat, currently seeding 12 according to the latest predictions at BracketMatrix with two games that will take place before the Big Ten Tournament.

Tonight, they are listed as a 5 point favorite at WynnBET Sportsbook against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, as both teams are only one game apart in the Big Ten rankings, with the Hoosiers looking for (somewhat) new enemies of their new Big Ten.

Because the Hoosiers have been up and down erratically throughout the season, rather than picking matches, I think there are two distinct ways to attack this match from a betting perspective.

First Half Indiana Bet -2.5 against Rutgers, Grab Rutgers Live in Second Half

Our Joe Summers Wrote a great betting preview for tonight’s Big Ten battlewhen he assisted the Hoosiers to improve to 13-5 by odds at the Clubhouse and take the lead at home in a game they absolutely had to win.

I’ll approach it a little differently.

Last week, great JG . Trend on Twitter put out an infographic showing which team made the best adjustments at halftime when fouled from efficiency level. Topping the list are teams like Providence and Missouri State. At the bottom are Hoosiers.

Indiana ranks as the worst team measured in the Score/Ownership over Change in Offensive Performance study. Basically, stay away from them in the second half because they will become stagnant, ineffective and not enough points compared to the opponent.

It adds up, as the Hoosiers blew some big leads in the second half of this season, and nearly blew Minnesota away by 27 points in the final 10 minutes on Sunday.

By taking them down -2.5 in the first half, you’re up against a team that holds the 8th place in the country with TeamRankings in the first half of the game. Then, when the second half begins, depending on the current line, the Rutgers will start playing.

The Scarlet Knights were a great defensive team in the second half, ranking 20th in the nation in opponent points per game in the final 20 minutes. Between the Hoosiers’ inconsistency and the Knights’ potential for a late finish, this game will play out exactly the way Indiana has played for most of the year.

As I said in the tweet above, I get lousy betting on or against the team I formed as an IU fan. However, if I was going to bet Rutgers vs. Indiana, I really like these two separate plays that are going to be at the Assembly Hall tonight.
