Mark Rosebrook acknowledged that the four wins are not enough and acceptable as the team needs more riders to achieve wins and finish among the leaders and more than four riders to make the playoffs. He added that the track and the next-gen car make it difficult to aim and the number of races left in the regular season isn’t enough to stage a decent comeback.

“Four wins are not enough. It’s not acceptable. We need to get more wins. We need riders higher up the standings and hopefully at least four if not more riders in the playoffs. It will certainly be difficult where we are with only four races of the regular season remaining. It’s been a struggle with the new car, the new package, dealing with it and how to properly track and optimize itsaid Mark Rushbrook.

The top Ford official went on to say that they have had a lot of success with their track speed but are still not picking up any victories that still have a lot of work to do. He points out that the teams have to develop and modify the engines, aerodynamics and chassis of the cars.

“We’ve seen a lot of success with speed at different tracks where we got it but we still haven’t brought the win home. So there’s a lot to do, but that’s racing. We always have to improve all the elements of the car – the engine, the aerodynamics, the chassis, the setup, the tire model, our simulator model – and that’s what we’re working on. We have many meetings and advancements with our teams to try to do better every week.” Added Mark Rushbrook.
