At the beginning of 2022, the Dallas Cowboys given the amount of talent they’ve lost, they have a significant amount of work to do to stay competitive. Michael Irvin believes there is a way for her to keep things going.

The Cowboys’ troubles began in the wild card round of this year’s playoffs when they played the San Francisco 49ers. While the 49ers’ defense was strong, many thought the high-flying Dallas Cowboys’ offense would be more than capable of handling them. Instead, it was quite the opposite and Dallas’ offense only showed when it was far too late.

As if the loss wasn’t painful enough, the Cowboys rested on a free hand, losing some notable figures like Randy Gregory, La’el Collins, Amari Cooper, and Cedrick Wilson. The calm approach is quite frustrating for fans as it seems like your team is falling apart and nothing is being done about it.

Still, Michael Irvin shared his always positive thoughts on how the Dallas Cowboys can make things work in 2022.

Michael Irvin recently spoke to Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill about the Dallas Cowboys spell “You’ve lost talent. Talent-wise, they’re not a better team. This game requires no skill. It takes will. When a team loses a little skill but gains greater will, they will still do great things. If the Cowboys can take the disappointment of that loss to San Francisco — beating them at home — if they can internalize that in the offseason and come with less skill and more will and have a better season.

Irvin also spoke about the Cowboys’ loss in the playoffs “If you lack the ability, you have to overcome it with will and cohesion. A man’s greatest promise comes from his greatest pain. If they felt the pain like we did and like these fans – I want the Jokers to cry like that on the field. I want them to hurt like that.”

Whether or not the Dallas Cowboys can improve for 2022 remains to be seen, but players are certainly under pressure as the Super Bowl drought continues. A lot of young players need to step up and play a bigger role in earnest this season if they want to be a real force in a stacked NFC.
